COVID INFO
How will you keep this event safe?
- We will be following all CDC and TX guidelines.
- Stations/challenges will be set up more than 6 feet apart.
- The chip-timing will use disposable chips.
- Hand sanitizer will be available for use at multiple locations throughout each event.
- Minimizing contact for distribution of drinks, finisher medals and awards.
What happens if the event is cancelled due to COVID-19 impacts?
We will offer you a virtual option or entry into the rescheduled date.
REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS
What are your refund and cancellation policies?
- Refund Policy: We unfortunately cannot offer refunds or transfers to other athletes. If you notify us at least 7 days prior to the event, we can defer your entry to next year's race.
- Cancellation Policy: In the event the race should be canceled for reasons beyond the control of Stronger to Serve (inclement weather or unsafe weather conditions; local, state or national emergency), refunds will not be made, but race packets, including race shirts, will be available at a location to be determined and you will be offered the opportunity to participate in the virtual race or in next year's race.
ABOUT THE TEAM RELAY
Is this like the Amazing Race TV show?
It is inspired by the show, but instead of eating gross food or rappelling off of tall buildings, you'll be racing through fitness & service challenges put on by local gyms and nonprofits.
Is this event family-friendly even though it's at a brewery?
YES! Families make some of the best teams and we'll also have fun activities like face-painting after the race!
How big can the teams be?
2-6 family members, friends, or co-workers
Will there be awards?
Of course! The three teams who complete the challenges the fastest will receive awards, but all will get to have fun, get active, and serve the community.
How many locations do I need to drive to?
Only 1! Southern Star Brewing Company.
What kind of challenges will there be?
They will range from completing a 5K to stuffing breakfast bags for Meals on Wheels to racing on a hopper ball.
Does every team member need to do every challenge?
No, only 1-2 teammembers will be required to complete each challenge, but every team member must complete at least one.
How do we form a team?
The first member of the team will be given the opportunity to create a team name. Once the team name is formed, the rest of the team can sign up and select to join that team name during the registration process.
If I sign up for a team, is there a fee for each team member?
Yes, each member of the team is responsible for registering and paying for their challenge and will receive their own finisher medal, race apparel, online results tracking, custom bib, finisher certificate.
INDIVIDUAL 5K
Will it be chip-timed? Will there be awards?
Yes! Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers overall, masters and in the following age groups: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and older. Age groups may be combined based on registration.
VIRTUAL 5K & KINDNESS CHALLENGE
What is a Virtual Challenge?
A Virtual Challenge is an activity that we do together, yet independently. You can complete it at your own pace and anywhere you would like. Simply register for the event and you have until the end of the day March 26, 2022 to complete your challenge. If you register by March 4th, your swag will automatically be mailed the week of March 21st.
When can I start?
You can start anytime. Once you register, you have until March 26th to complete the 5K (or at least an hour of exercise) and one act of kindness/service.
Where should I do my activity?
You can conduct your activity anyplace you like. Please follow social distancing safe practices.
How do I get entered to win the gift card for my favorite charity?*
Submit your virtual results and a photo of your act of kindness/service by March 27th at 11:59PM PT.
When will I get my bib?
You can download and print your custom bib immediately after registering. The link to your bib is in your confirmation email and also in your Quick Links email sent to you the day after your registration. If you can’t find your confirmation email, you can resend it to yourself within your profile. Click HERE to learn how.
How do I log my activity for the challenge?
1. Click on "RESULTS" tab at the top of the race page
2. Click "SUBMIT RESULTS"
3. Look up your name.
4. Enter your progress of your activity. You can also upload your photo here. Feel free to include photos of your 5K too!
5. Click "SUBMIT YOUR TIME" Done!
Note: It takes up to 24 hours for the system to update new participant registrations so you may not be able to start placing your results until the day after you register.
SWAG
What is included with my registration?
In-person participants receive a unique finisher medal, t-shirt (if registered by March 4, 2021) custom pint glass and one beverage (beer or non-alcoholic choice).
Virtual participants (except those who choose the "no-swag" option receive a finisher medal and t-shirt (if registered by March 4, 2021).
All participants received access to the race bib, online tracking and a finisher certificate.
When will I receive my race swag?
Either at packet pickup (details coming soon) or for virtual participants it will be mailed the week of March 21st!
How do I find my finisher certificate?
Here’s how:
1. Click on RESULTS tab at the top of the page
2. Click "SUBMIT RESULTS"
3. Look up your name.
4. Enter your miles or minutes you completed in the calendar.
5. Click CERTIFICATE in the upper right corner.
SHIPPING & RETURNS
How much is shipping?
Shipping is included within the USA.
I live outside of the United States, can I still participate?
Unfortunately, this year's race is limited to those living in the USA.
How do I know when my SWAG has been shipped?
We will email you and send you a tracking link once your SWAG has shipped.
What if I receive an incorrect size shirt (from what was selected during registration)?
If you receive the incorrect size shirt we will reship the correct size shirt free of charge. We will send you a return label for your incorrect size shirt and once we receive it, we will ship out the correct size shirt.
What if I receive my shirt but now want a different size?
If you would like to swap a size after we have shipped your SWAG, you will be responsible for shipping fees to return the item and to reship the size you want. We can only issue a different size if it is within 10 days of you receiving your order and the item has not been washed.
What if my shipment is returned to sender due to incorrect address on file?
You will be charged the shipping fee for sending your items to the updated address.
REFERRING YOUR FRIENDS
Where can I find my referral code to pass on to my friends?
The link to your referral code is in the confirmation email. You can also find your link in your profile. Learn more HERE. For each person who signs up with your code, you will get $2 for each person up to $20!
How can I see how many people have registered using my referral link?
You can track your referred registrations in your profile. You can use THIS LINK to find out how.
How will I receive my referral bonus?
For each person who signs up using your referral code, you will get $2 credited back to the credit card you used to register (up to $20)!
MAKING CHANGES TO YOUR REGISTRATION
Can I change my mailing address?
Yes, you can edit any of your registration information in your profile. Please make sure to change it as soon as possible. Click HERE to learn how.
Can I change my event (i.e.: change in-person 5K to virtual 5K)?

I accidentally registered myself as anonymous. How do I change that?

CHARITY DONATIONS
Does this event support a charity?
This event supports multiple charities! First, this is Stronger to Serve's main annual fundraiser. Funds raised from this event help with planning and supplies for family fitness and service projects throughout the year, benefitting the families AND those who are served (veterans, homeless pets, hungry kids, etc.). In addition, in several of the challenges of the team relay, you'll be doing actual work for the charities that are there and learning about their missions!
